Pancake Bay to Sault Ste Marie 3

I was up a little earlier today, quick walk on the beach, breakfast and on the road by 830am. Today held light at the end of the tunnel, something about finally making it to the Soo was exciting. A little over half way across Canada but more than anything it was a long haul (1200km) from the Ontario border. Put it perspective I biked 1000km across BC and that wasn’t a direct route; about 600km across the other provinces!

Rolled into the Soo and Velorution Cycle around 2pm. Betty got a full make over and I can tell she is very pleased with herself.

Great campsite for free at the bike shop. Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Anyone from the Soo (Amy) who has suggestions on what I shoul see or do (other than find a pub).

Daily cycle: 78.5km
Daily cycle time: 4hrs 8min

    Hi David,
I am first cousins with your Aunt Dora (on her father’s side of the family). I have quietly been following your adventure as it is something I’ve always wanted to do myself, starting back when I was about 18. I’ve really enjoyed your daily journal. Very interesting and great writing. I was hoping to meet up with you and join you for a stretch of cycling through Ottawa, but I suspect you will be passing through here while I am on vacation. What date do you expect to arrive in the National Capital area?

Whatever pub you find Dave – be sure to have a greyhound!

Wish I can figure out how to set the video on endless loop – sounds so peaceful. If only Alexa can hear it-water has such a calming quality
